Once you hear Sashank Venkatesh’s music and singing, you will want to invite him over to your house for dinner and then never let him out again because you’ll want him to play music just for you 24/7. On the other hand, it might make things a lot easier on you and him if you just go to YouTube or any other venue where his music is played and listen to it all you want. Besides, he is much too busy right now to come over for dinner and staying with you day after day would simply just not work out.
He has a thriving solo career and he is releasing six of his original songs on social media in the next two months. Four will drop in December and two more in January. Most of his songs are based on stories or concepts that he has been thinking about for some time. He wrote one that was influenced by the hit movie “300” and his song tells a similar story as if it was happening in the present day. That song is “Never Back Down.”“Fallen,”another song being released this month, is based on the movie character Loki, who is always running after power but seems to continually fail in his attempts to actually grab and hold it.
His solo career as far as performing goes, is keeping him busy, but Sashank’s talents and skills as a musician, music producer and audio engineer have also given him many other opportunities in the music and film industries. He holds a position at Streamland Media, which is the biggest post-production house in the world and he works on projects for shows, games and movies for the studios that are affiliated with Streamland such as: MGM, Disney, Marvel and HBO, among others. He was part of the crew for the 2019/2021 Recording Academy’s Grammy weekend and will reprise that role this year as well. If all that wasn’t busy enough for this multi-faceted,multi-hyphenated and multi-talented man, then we can add that he is a part of the Recording Academy and Musicares, which is a charity that has provided health, financial, and rehabilitation resources to people in the music industry in their time of need. Sashank is always staying busy and he looks forward to and is grateful for the many opportunities that present themselves to him.
