I had the opportunity to catch up with one of the most unsung/behind-the-scenes String Pullers in entertainment over the years of managing some of the biggest artists, and after our interview, it is clear why his success is so monumental. He revealed that connections are key, and with his extensive Rolodex, which consists of various contacts that range from venue owners to world tour providers and beyond, unbelievable (as I took a quick glance).This knowledge is something I use to carefully allocate my clients’ money and help them achieve their goals. Music is one of my specialties, and many DJs, producers, and stars alike look to me for advice on all angles of the industry, whether that be studio or live performance opportunities or simply the distribution of a record. Ultimately, my goal is to bring creative together for maximum effect in their projects, helping people take advantage of what lies beyond the boundaries they have created.
He states that working with people from different socio-economic backgrounds is an interesting opportunity. I am able to connect with and advise the children of the one percent, as they inherit large amounts of money. My role goes beyond financial management and budgeting; I often take on a lifestyle coaching role to help them navigate life’s decisions. As part of my job, I have the privilege of making important connections both within the United States and abroad. I am grateful for these many opportunities that allow me to wear many hats throughout my career.
Working in the music industry has afforded me many opportunities to partner with some of the best producers out there, including Grammy award-winners Kid Silver and Elan Morrison. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting some of the industry’s biggest names. Until recently, however, most of my interactions have been in a more behind-the-scenes capacity.
Now, though, I’m being asked to step into more public roles, and I must admit, it’s a bit daunting! Despite that, I feel confident about being able to make a mark in this world and do something unique. With a little research, we can also see that no good deed goes unnoticed or unappreciated, as all of StarChild’s projects are dedicated to change through donations, helping fund research, and so on. While doing so, I dove into more of what makes this “Team of Gold” per se, and after speaking, it became apparent it’s not done alone, like Ms. Castillo, who has come on board as an assistant and is learning how precise she must be with the high standard she faces every day with every task given to the team.
Let’s face it, running a successful business is no easy task, and often times there isn’t enough glory to go around that recognizes those who have worked hard and devoted their time to helping an operation thrive. When Castillo began filling in after the plethora of assistants that were unsuccessful, she stepped up to the occasion and exceeded those standards, which made her invaluable. After all, motivation can be just as important as results when striving for success, and with Castillo excelling in both regards, she is now getting some well-deserved recognition. It looks like even those outside the intimate circle from which she is still learning are taking notice of her skills; recently, she’s been shown staring at events with Miami’s very own “Star” or “StarChild.” This is no small feat, as it’s apparent the company he keeps seems to be one of a kind! It seems Ms. Castillo’s’ future could be endless.

As a closing statement, “Star” or “StarChild” makes it clear he is always striving to reach new heights and manage my clients’ needs as well as my own. With an open mindset, I hope to continue learning, growing, and connecting with those around me in order to create something spectacular. As I continue on this journey, I look forward to the future and all of its possibilities.
