Punk Band Hopout Release Explosive New Single “Bad Luck”

The Florida rock trio’s newest single is a gritty anthem about owning your mess.

If you’re tired of the same polished, overproduced pop-rock clogging up your playlist, it’s time to plug into something real, something raw. Enter Hopout, the three-piece band from Pensacola, Florida that’s making noise in all the right ways. With their latest release “Bad Luck,” Hopout isn’t just dropping a single, they’re making a statement: stop blaming the universe, and start owning your sh*t.

From the first few seconds, “Bad Luck” pulls no punches. It kicks in with a riff that feels both nostalgic and fresh, think early 2000s emo energy meets modern-day grit. The band’s signature move, rotating lead vocals between members Nick Zimmerman, Tyler Raihl, and Alex Gibson, adds a dynamic layer that keeps you guessing.

Lyrically, “Bad Luck” calls out the kind of person who complains about everything but never takes responsibility. It’s that friend who says, “Nothing ever goes right for me,” while repeating the same mistakes. Whether you believe in fate, bad karma, or just a long streak of unfortunate timing, the message hits hard… Sometimes the “bad luck” is you.

The single comes after years of grinding. Hopout has been on the scene since 2017, but the chemistry between the members runs deeper than that. With over a decade of playing together in different setups, the trio has honed a sound that blends punk, hard rock, and emo hooks into a style that feels uniquely theirs.

“Bad Luck” might sound like a punch to the gut, but it ends up feeling like an anthem for anyone ready to take control of their own story. And with Hopout’s growing momentum, sharing stages with We The Kings and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, they’re not just making music. They’re building a movement.

So if you’ve ever had one of those days, spilt coffee, missed trains, broken phones—and needed something to scream in the car with the windows down, “Bad Luck” is that track. And Hopout is that band.
