Neil Levin’s “Love Is”  A Timeless Lesson in Heart and Soul

Neil Levin’s latest single, “Love Is,” from his new album The Nightnoon, shines as one of the most heartfelt and soulful tracks in his growing catalog. Known for his signature “Cosmic Blues” sound,  a mix of blues, indie rock, and jam-band spirit,  Levin continues to bridge old-school soul with modern emotion.

At its core, “Love Is” feels like a song written straight from the heart. Levin penned it after witnessing the way women are often mistreated in a world that still struggles with respect and equality. The track serves as a protest, honest and full of grace. It’s his reminder that love isn’t about control or ego, but kindness, patience, and genuine care.

Musically, “Love Is” carries a vintage Motown groove wrapped in Levin’s signature cosmic touch. The rhythm feels warm and steady, while his guitar work drips with emotion. His voice moves between gentle reflection and raw power, giving the song a timeless pull. It sounds like something that could have played on a vinyl turntable decades ago, yet it feels fresh enough to fit right into today’s playlists.

Within The Nightnoon, the song marks a turning point. It’s the moment the story’s main character stands on stage at the fictional “Nightnoon Hotel,” performing for someone he truly loves in the crowd. It’s both a confession and a celebration, a musical scene that brings the album’s narrative to life.

Beyond the studio, Levin’s drive as a performer and community builder continues to set him apart. From headlining the NAMM Show 2025 to hosting his beloved Grateful Jam Sundays in Dana Point, he’s built a world where music and connection go hand in hand.

With “Love Is,” Neil Levin reminds listeners that compassion never goes out of style and that real love, in all its simplicity, is still worth singing about.
