Lauren Cassidy Chooses Self-Worth on Empowering New Single “Two Things”

Textless RElease post - 6

Lauren Cassidy is back with another reminder that choosing yourself can be one of the most powerful things you do.

Following the release of “Lessons,” the New York-raised, Utah-based indie pop artist continues her journey of turning healing, growth, and difficult experiences into music that makes listeners feel understood. Her new single “Two Things” takes that message somewhere new, celebrating the moment you realise that loving someone and leaving them can exist at the same time.

Inspired by the idea that two things can be true at once, the song comes from Lauren’s own experience of healing after a difficult relationship. It looks back at the confusing conversations, broken trust, and complicated feelings that can make walking away so hard.

But “Two Things” isn’t really about heartbreak. It’s about what happens when you finally start trusting yourself again.

Rather than wishing she had handled the past differently, Lauren writes from the perspective of someone who has already done the healing. There’s no begging for someone to change or questioning whether leaving is the right decision. Instead, the track captures the confidence that comes from knowing your worth and understanding that loving someone doesn’t mean you have to keep accepting what hurts you.

It’s a message that feels perfectly at home in the world Lauren has created around her music. Through her online community, The Healing Garden, and an audience of more than 450,000 across social media, she has built a space centred around healthier relationships, self-growth, and learning to leave old patterns behind.

Where “Lessons” encouraged listeners to question the beliefs and experiences they were carrying with them, “Two Things” feels like the next step. It’s confident, empowering and, importantly, made to be danced to.

Sometimes moving on doesn’t have to mean you stopped loving someone. Sometimes it simply means you finally chose to love yourself too.
