Juan Torres – Tailoring your Audio

You might not know him, but you have heard some of the work he has been part of.

Juan Torres is an Audio Engineer and Sound Designer, he was able to craft many Advertisings you see in TV and Youtube.  

Juan who is originally from Bogota, Colombia moved to the United States at age 19 pursuing his dreams in Audio. Meanwhile shaping his dreams Juan ended up working as an Audio Engineer for the renowned and world’s biggest companies from the likes of Nissan, Papa Johns, Schwarzkopf, Hilton, Moderna and many others.


Juan also worked on the Columbia Journalism Review Ad ‘Are You Pressworthy?’ in 2023, this ad was nominated and winner of multiple Advertising Awards, including 1 D&AD, 3 Clio Awards and Multiple Cannes Lions.

From the VO Recording to the final delivery, Juan was part of the development of these ads you seen. Juan has worked in a Super Bowl Ad. A Nissan Ad called ‘El Test Drive’ was starred by Marcello Hernandez and Grupo Frontera. Seen by almost 1.3 million people, this ad was a huge stepping stone in Juan’s Career. He has developed his skills through the years working in the different fields of Audio and has reinvented himself multiple times. As a Musicians Institute Graduate and Dual Major Graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

He states:

“Audio is so important. I haven’t done this alone, my team at TBWA Chiat Day has been the backbone as well. From the idea to the execution, I like to think my part has been crucial in every step of the

journey. I find weird to see and hear the ads I’ve worked in. I see them in coffee shops, bars and even my laundromat in BK.”

Juan different mindset with the appliance of the disruptive thinking has helped these ads to shine in whatever platform you’ve seen them. His role morphs and adapts to create solutions that develops in a perfect execution.
