The answer is yes, Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator of the show ‘Squid Game,’ confirmed season 2 of the popular Netflix show is coming.
‘There’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice!’ Hwang said at a screening and Q&A for the show in Los Angeles on Nov 8. Hwang also revealed that leading actor Lee Jung-jae will return in the upcoming season.
‘Squid Game’ quickly became one of the most successful shows on Netflix following its launch. It was on the #1 spot of Neflix’s top 10 most popular shows for weeks in various countries. According to data acquired by Bloomberg, ‘Squid Game’ will create an estimated $891 million in value for Netflix.
Netflix hasn’t announced season 2 officially yet.
