Inside Lilly Hartle’s Fun, Fearless Debut EP ‘Lovesick Logic’

There’s something refreshing about an artist who doesn’t pretend to have everything figured out. On her debut EP Lovesick Logic, Lilly Hartle turns crushes, bad days, overthinking and romantic chaos into the kind of songs you want to play loud.

Born in Nashville and now based in Charleston, Lilly has been developing a sound that sits somewhere between indie pop, pop punk, and alt-rock. There are flashes of early 2000s nostalgia throughout her music, but her personality keeps it feeling current. Big melodies meet playful lyrics, honest storytelling, and enough attitude to make even the messiest moments sound fun.

That balance runs throughout Lovesick Logic. Tracks including “Boy Brain,” “Leave Me Lonely,” and “Biannual Hypocrite” show different sides of Lilly’s songwriting, moving between confidence, vulnerability, and the slightly chaotic thoughts that come with relationships and everyday life.

“Perfect Day” turns a string of things going wrong into something upbeat and surprisingly freeing. Rather than letting frustration take over, Lilly finds humor in it, creating an anthem for anyone who has had one of those days when all you can do is laugh.

“Bitch For Romance” brings another side of her personality to the EP. Inspired by the excitement of falling for someone almost immediately, the track is bold, energetic, and completely self-aware. It’s the kind of song made for singing with friends, driving with the windows down, and fully embracing your hopeless romantic side.

That relatability is where Lilly shines. Lovesick Logic doesn’t try to make love or life sound perfect. Instead, it celebrates the overthinking, excitement, frustration, and fun that come with figuring it all out.

With a sound full of personality and songs that already feel made to be shouted back at her live, Lovesick Logic gives listeners plenty of reasons to keep Lilly Hartle on their radar. https://themanhattanherald.com/inside-lilly-hartles-fun-fearless-debut-ep-lovesick-logic/
