Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum producer Pitt Tha Kid is entering a new chapter of his career, formally stepping away from former management ties and launching his own independent label and producer collective, VSN Sound.
Known for his role in shaping some of the most influential hip-hop and R&B releases of the past decade, Pitt Tha Kid first gained industry attention in 2019 with a placement on the Creed II soundtrack, contributing production to “Kill ‘Em With Success” featuring Mike WiLL Made-It, 2 Chainz, and ScHoolboy Q. That early momentum continued with Jaden Smith’s “Pass” from the ERYS EP, helping establish his presence across film, television, and mainstream music.
His breakout moment arrived with “Boy Back,” produced alongside Mustard and featuring NAV on Young Thug’s So Much Fun, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Pitt Tha Kid’s global profile rose further with “Creature,” featuring Swae Lee on Pop Smoke’s posthumous album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon. The album debuted at No. 1, earned 2× Platinum certification from the RIAA, and saw “Creature” peak at No. 57 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2024, Pitt Tha Kid made a decisive professional shift, cutting all ties with his former management company, Best Kept Secret Management. He has since remained independent, with no affiliation to BKS or any related entities, despite outdated or inaccurate press references that continue to circulate online.
Following that transition, his production credits continued to expand, including work on Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape (No. 1 Billboard), Chris Brown’s 11:11—a Grammy Award-winning album—as well as collaborations with Chlöe Bailey, Big Sean, Anuel AA & Ozuna, Sexyy Red, Monaleo, and others.
Reflecting on this period of transition and growth, Pitt Tha Kid says he views the moment as a starting point rather than a peak.
“I’m excited for the future and really focused on innovating and shaping where music is headed,” he said. “I honestly feel like I’m just getting started. I’ve only tapped into a small part of my potential, and I’m looking forward to building something meaningful and long-lasting. I’m grateful for everything that’s happened so far, and above all, I’m grateful to God.”
In 2025, Pitt Tha Kid broadened his creative footprint beyond traditional music releases after being selected for the PlayStation Playmakers Program, an initiative that partners creators across music, gaming, and digital culture with the global gaming brand. As a PlayStation Ambassador, he collaborated on brand-aligned creative initiatives designed to bridge sound, gaming, and audience engagement at a global scale.
That same year, he entered the commercial and sync space more aggressively, producing original music and sound design for major sports and entertainment brands. His work has contributed to campaigns tied to the NHL, NBA, and other major leagues and platforms, reinforcing his reputation as a producer capable of delivering both chart-driven records and broadcast-ready compositions.
The launch of VSN Sound marked another milestone in Pitt Tha Kid’s career. Founded as both a label and producer collective, the venture reflects a shift toward creative ownership and long-term brand building. The roster includes Grammy-winning producer Yung Swisher, Zion Matthew, and Korean producer Shin Won Seok, with Pitt Tha Kid overseeing both creative direction and business strategy.
By the end of 2025, he had also formally parted ways with his personal manager, remaining signed to Sony Music Publishing while handling all other business operations through VSN Sound.
With upcoming commercial collaborations and cross-industry partnerships in development across sports, gaming, and media, Pitt Tha Kid’s next phase appears focused on scale, ownership, and cultural reach. Known for his cinematic production style and modern sound palette, he continues to position himself at the intersection of music, technology, and branding—shaping not only chart history, but the sound of major global platforms.
