In Dec. 2021, Hyland was accused of sexual assault by a woman on TikTok.

In Oct. 2021, Hyland traveled to Los Angeles for a protest at the offices of TikTok. He stayed at an Air BnB with several other creators. One woman visited Hyland with one of her friends at the Air BnB.

After Hyland returned home to his Naval base in Hawaii, he received a phone call from the woman. She stated the woman she had visited the Air BnB with had sexually assaulted her.

In Dec. 2021, the woman publicly accused Hyland of sexually assaulting her at the Air BnB. The allegations were made in a video on her TikTok page.

She claimed that Hyland walked in on her in the restroom. Hyland denied this. She then claimed that Hyland walked in on her in the bathroom and said ” Do I need to come in there and straighten you out?” Hyland stated, “I never walked in on her in the bathroom”. She made another video claiming that Hyland walked in on her in the bathroom, tried to grab her, and chased her outside. She then claimed in the following videos that after Hyland chased her outside, he jumped on the hood of the car, and tried to open the car door.

Hyland made a video on his TikTok where he has over 1.6 million followers as @ispeak1906 stating he has been cleared of all charges by the U.S. Navy. Hyland stated that when the woman began accusing him of sexual assault he opened a case against her.

The woman then made several videos and went on TikTok live calling Naval bases in Hawaii, the U.S., and NCIS.

According to a letter that has been verified, the woman has been barred from all Navy and Air Force Exchange retail operations and commissaries on the island of Oahu, according to a letter from Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Melissa Hull, Joint Base Security Officer at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.
